Meaning of Shuklaphanta: Shukla + Phanta = largest patch of contiguous grassland (शुकिला फाँट)
Shuklaphanta National Park is located in Kanchanpur district of far west Nepal. Which is exactly in Nepal-India border in Southwest corner of Nepal.
Due to the Mahakali river, it is a major specialty of the beautiful white grassy landscape with rare wild animals like Royal Bengal Tiger and other wildlife. Due to the conservation of the Shuklaphanta national park some rare of west coast animals, birds are being conserved.
The Shuklaphanta National park is especially famous for Swamp deer. It is no surprise if you see a group of 300 Swamp deer around the grassy landscape. There are more than 3000 swamp deer inside the Shuklaphanta National Park.
